After completing his apprenticeship as a skilled worker in rail transport technology and the following studies in traffic engineering at the University Dresden, Germany, Andreas Henkel has gained more than 20 years of experience in the fields of project development, management and evaluation. As a managing partner of RMCon International GmbH, large-scale projects related to traffic engineering have become routine. Meeting the costs, deadlines and the quality of the projects – and therefore the client’s satisfaction – is of great importance to Andreas Henkel.

Alfons Radtke commenced his scientific career at the Universiy Hanover. After receiving his degree and the conferral of a doctorate, he also completed the postdoctoral lecture qualification in 2005. Apart from his scientific activities he founded RMCon GmbH (now “RMCon International GmbH”)in corporation with Andreas Henkel and presides over the company as a managing partner. Alfons Radtke combines his interest in research and the precise implementation of projects through his success-oriented work for RMCon International and his function as an assistant professor at the TU Braunschweig.

Prof. Dr.-Ing Thomas Siefer
In 1981, Thomas Siefer studied Civil Engineering at the University of Hannover, whereupon in 1984 he passed the second state examination as construction assessor at the Deutsche Bundesbahn. He then continued his scientific career with a doctorate in 1989 at the Institut für Verkehrswesen, Eisenbahnbau und -betrieb. While Thomas Siefer has also worked in various positions at the Deutsche Bundesbahn or DB Netze since 1989, more than 30 years of experience in the field of transport characterize his scientific work as director of the institute at the TU Braunschweig as well as at RMCon International.
